Friday Footnote #33

Ysgrifennwyd gan A.R.Fairbank@swansea.ac.uk / 18/12/2020

Each week we share loads of content amongst Team ION and with our network. Content which inspires us, which we find helpful or that just makes us smile. We thought we would start sharing these insights every Friday. Welcome to the last Friday footnote of 2020!

IOD_Christmas_Quiz_2.jpgIt's Christmas!

Christmas parties have been a bit different this year. This week saw the Team ION Christmas quiz take place with topics covering everything from geography and music to ION and the year 2020. It was fantastic for both the Swansea and Bangor teams to celebrate together, what has been a very difficult year. Llewellyn reigned supreme in the quiz and has this year's bragging rights.

Yesterday saw the #IONOpenDoors Christmas quiz take place. 7 months ago, Kaye and Adam from the team started the virtual networking group and it has gone from strength to strength, developing a real sense of community, which has been needed in 2020 more than ever. Kaye took the glory in the quiz (she hadn't seen any of the questions beforehand!), although she might have had a little help!

2020 - An unforgettable year

Reflection_quote.JPG2020 has been a year like no other. A year we certainly won't forget anytime soon. Members of the ION team left our offices on March 23rd, like many others, and have not been back since. We have had to completely change the way we do things. For 11 years we have delivered face-to-face. This year we had to switch to online learning, and the feedback has been great so far. Our leadership development specialists Jill and Kim recently blogged for us sharing their thoughts on how we have pivoted to online learning, and just this week Adam caught up with Tony from our delivery team to have a chat about how he has adapted to Zoom as a learning platform.

Bangor Programme manager Gwenllian also blogged for us sharing her thoughts on 2020 as well as letting us know what she is looking forward to in 2021. As well as looking back on 2020, we have also all looked forward to 2021 and members of Team ION told us what they are looking forward to as did regulars at our #IONOpenDoors virtual networking session.

Join our team
