Ysgrifennwyd gan A.R.Fairbank@swansea.ac.uk / 16/6/2023

Each week we share loads of content amongst Team ION and with our network. Content that inspires us, which we find helpful, or just makes us smile. We thought we would start sharing these insights every Friday. Welcome to Friday Footnote.

'Looking Back, Looking Forward' event

In nearly 14 years, we have supported nearly 2000 individuals to become extraordinary leaders. On Tuesday 27th June our Swansea team are hosting the Looking Back, Looking Forward event at the Swansea University Great Hall on the Bay Campus.

  • Swansea University Director of Research, Engagement & Innovation Services, Ceri Jones, and ION leadership Programme Lead Suzanne Parry Jones, sharing their thoughts on 14 years of LEAD Wales/ION leadership

  • Opportunities to find out more about how you, and your business, can be supported by Swansea University, and its many programmes / initiatives, including Swansea Employability Academy and Executive Education at the School of Management.

There will also be plenty of opportunities throughout the day to network with your fellow alumni, former team members and industry and university partners. So if you are an alumini - why not get your cohort back together?

Leadership programme hailed as 'jewel in the crown' by Swansea University Director

As we look ahead to our event in a few weeks time, early this week we caught up with Ceri Jones, Director of Research, Enterprise & Innovation Services (REIS) at Swansea University to hear his thougths on the leadership programme he was involved in bringing to Wales nearly 14 years ago.

You can read the full blog on our website. Ceri will also be talking at our upcoming event.

Inspiration

'On location' with Abbey Glass

On Thursday, Adam was 'on location' with Angela Worgan from Abbey Glass to film a testimonial film to be played at our upcoming event. Angela filmed one of our first testimonial videos - watch it here - but after chatting with Angela about our upcoming event, she spoke so positively about the programme and how she still uses some of what she learned 10+ years ago, that we thought we would film a follow up chat.

All of our recently captured films will be played at our event on the 27th June. If you can't join us, keep an eye on our social channels, and YouTube channel after the event where we will be releasing the films.
