Friday Footnote # 121
Each week we share loads of content amongst Team ION and with our network. Content that inspires us, which we find helpful, or just makes us smile. We thought we would start sharing these insights every Friday. Welcome to Friday Footnote.
ION on Tour
Today we are attending the Swansea University Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences networking event at the Swansea Arena, hosted by Welsh broadcaster (and drummer) Owain Wyn Evans. The event will help showcase the benefits of collaborative research and development projects, with a focus on how to communicate with prospective partners. Keep an eye on our social media channels later to find out more about the day.
Next Friday, we will be joining the Swansea City Business Network, at there Celebrating the City event - an 'on tour' event taking in Swansea Arena, our very-own Swansea University, and Morgans Hotel. Again, keep an eye on our social media channels for updates.
7 years of delivering leadership programmes in North Wales
It's hard to believe we've been delivering leadership programmes in North Wales since 2016.
A total of 442 delegates from over 150 businesses have completed one of our programmes. We are so proud to have made so many connections with so many businesses over the last 7 years. Thank you to everyone we have worked with over the last 7 years.
Welsh Government launches innovation strategy
This week the Welsh Government launched their new innovation strategy - Wales Innovates: Creating a Stronger, Fairer, Greener Wales.
The new innovation strategy sets out an aspiration for Wales to be a leading, innovation-based nation, and focuses on ensuring innovative new technologies are developed to help solve the biggest challenges facing communities, ensuring those solutions reach every part of society. Through collaboration, the aim is to bring about better healthcare, tackling the climate and nature emergencies and creating better jobs and prosperity for businesses, universities, and local communities.
You can read the full strategy on the Welsh Government website.
