Company Name: Atriarc Planning
Atriarc Planning is an innovative development & planning consultants practice based in Llangynin and Cardiff. Our services extend across Wales and the South West providing clients with expert specialist advice in Planning, Design and Environmental disciplines.
The company’s experience and knowledge of the development and property industry significantly enhances the work clients seek to undertake in an urban or rural setting. Our range of services can be tailored to cater for any size project, from the humble house extension, to a major brown-field, mixed-use development. No matter what the scale of development, we pride ourselves on delivering a quality service, working with clients every step of the way to successfully achieve their vision.
I am sure all those reading this will know, one of the main challenges of running an SME is the ability to engage with other like-minded business owners in a non-competitive, confidential environment (especially when trying to focus ideas or discuss the pro’s and con’s of a new product or service). With ambitious expansion plans, the LEAD program offered the opportunity to provide a means of discourse, above and beyond what I had originally sought from any other management course.
The master-classes provided a good overview of the subject matter and in many cases generated ideas, or new areas to explore to enhance the business. However, for me the most valuable part of the programme was the work place shadowing and perspective offered from my business coach. Seeing how other business operated allowed me to compare and contrast different management techniques as well as consider how we could grow the company over the next few years (picking up on ideas and experiences from other cohort members).
The LEAD Wales programme has given me a tremendous perspective on a wide variety of businesses working across South Wales. More importantly it gave me the reassurance that the business was on the right track and with a few minor adjustments, has significantly impacted upon business growth. In 2014 we are looking to expand our consultancy & construction services, as well as launch a new company (retreat2wales.com) to manage our own high-end holiday let portfolio based in West Wales. Later in the year, after setting up a new servicing team, we will also look to welcome client properties on board, to fill a niche in the West Wales market.
