Friday Footnote # 146

Written by A.R.Fairbank@swansea.ac.uk / Friday 29th September 2023

Each week we share loads of content amongst Team ION and with our network. Content that inspires us, which we find helpful, or just makes us smile. We thought we would start sharing these insights every Friday. Welcome to Friday Footnote.

Gaining inspiration in North Wales  Team_in_Bangor.jpeg

We spent Monday and Tuesday this week in North Wales visiting current and former colleagues. After catching up with members of the team at Bangor University, some of us headed over to M-SParc on Anglesey, the 'home of innovation and excitement in North Wales'. Former ION Bangor Programme Manager Gwenllian Owen now works at M-SParc, and it was amazing to catch up with her as she talked us through the work of M-SParc and gave us a massively engaging tour of the facility. We left hugely inspired, and with plenty to think about.

It was fantastic to catch up over dinner with members of the Bangor team, past and present, before heading back to South Wales on Tuesday. It was a flying visit, but a fantastic visit. We will definitely be back - hopefully for longer next time!
