Friday Footnote # 139
Each week we share loads of content amongst Team ION and with our network. Content that inspires us, which we find helpful, or just makes us smile. We thought we would start sharing these insights every Friday. Welcome to Friday Footnote.
Career Confidence
On Tuesday this week, Adam and Sibil attended the Chartered Management Institiute (CMI) Career Confidence event at the Swansea University School of Management. The event was 'aimed at raising awareness of the challenges that could be holding you and your business back and providing useful, practical tools to help you move forwards and discover confidence in building your career and business'.
It was really interesting to hear the speakers, and those in the audience, share their own personal experiences (the good and the bad!) of how they have built their own career confidence. Speakers included Pamela McNamara from Bluestone National Park Resorts, Kath Austin from CMI Wales and Pizza Hut and Swansea University's Dave Bolton and Carys Evans, both from the School of Management.
Pamela McNamara from Bluestone's presentation really resonated with us as she spoke about not comprising, saying yes, and emphasised the importance of spending time working on your business, rather than in your business - something which ION are huge advocates of!

New film looks back at our recent Swansea event
Our 'Looking Back, Looking Forward' event was over 3 weeks ago, so we loved reminicising earlier this week as we received a short film our photographer, Peter Price, made of the day.
You can check the film out below, or on our YouTube channel.
You can also still check out our recent blog looking back at the event.
