7 days, 3 programmes, 50+ delegates

It's been a very busy last week or so for Team ION.

We have traditionally always delivered face-to-face. In 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic we had to adapt how we do things, as did many other businesses. After dipping our toes in the water with virtual learning events in the summer, in September we started delivering our leadership programmes virtually. From the outset, the feedback has been fantastic.

Jill and Kim from our delivery team blogged about our move to virtual learning back in September 2020 and later in the year, we caught up with Tony to discuss how he has adapted to online delivery. 

A few months on, and things continue to go from strength to strength.

In just 7 days, our Swansea delivery team have started 3 new programmes, with over 50 delegates continuing their leadership journey. Delegates from Bridgend to Pembroke Dock, Swansea to Llandysul. From manufacturing to wealth management, charities to healthcare professionals, the delegates are finding real solutions to the real issues that leaders, at all levels, face every day. And they are developing their leadership knowledge and skills, skills which will enable them, and their businesses to grow.

But don't just take our word for it. After their first session, here's just a snapshot of the delegate feedback:

• 'I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to see what the next few months will bring'

And it is fantastic to see that the delegates are already taking some new learning from the sessions:

• 'How I prefer to learn, interact with people in a team and how I deal with unexpected tasks'
• Learning to focus on overall objectives and giving thought to different peoples learning types'
• 'I need to better understand my teams learning methods to effectively communicate with them'.

We are not resting on our laurels and there is still much to learn. We continue to evaluate the programme to ensure it adds maximum value to our delegates, but it is great to see that things are progressing well. Whether we are delivering face-to-face or virtually, our leadership programmes continue to be transformational for the delegates, who are also having a positive, enjoyable experience.

Well done to the delivery team, and everyone else in the team for adapting to this new way of working. And a big thank you to all our delegates, who make it such a fantastic learning experience for us too.
