ION leadership celebrates Europe Day 2016
Europe Day is held on the 9th of May every year.
It is a day to celebrate peace and unity in Europe and marks the anniversary of the 'Schuman declaration'. On 9 May 1950, French foreign minister Robert Schuman presented his idea for a new form of political cooperation in Europe, therefore starting the process that led to what is now the European Union.
Europe Day Celebrations
In early May every year the EU institutions open their doors to the public to celebrate Europe Day. Also, a variety of activities and events are organised by Local EU offices in Europe and all over the world.
At ION leadership we want to celebrate Europe Day by sharing all the achievements that have been made possible to date. Thanks to the funding received from the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government we are able to positively contribute to the Welsh Economy by increasing the skills and the competitiveness of Welsh enterprises.
Thanks to the EU funding, in the past 5 years we have worked with 900 leaders and achieved some remarkable results:
Our delegates have benefited greatly from the programme:
And they have also made the most of the activities we have been able to organise:
With the continued support of the European Social Fund we can now go even further:
