Funded leadership programme coming to Pembrokeshire
ION Leadership, Swansea University’s flagship business development intervention, are happy to announce that we are working in partnership with Welsh Government and the Haven Waterway Enterprise Zone to deliver a fully-funded leadership and business growth programme starting in February 2020. Further details about the programme can be found here.
The programme follows on from hugely successful programmes ran in the Neath Port Talbot Enterprise Zone in 2017 and 2019 where we collaborated with the enterprise zone to design, develop and a deliver a ‘Leading Growth’ programme for local business leaders.
The inaugural Port Talbot Enterprise Zone cohort was a huge success:
- 70% of organisations who took part saw an increase in turnover
- 50% of organisations who took part now employ more people
- 100% of delegates agreed the programme has helped develop their knowledge and improve their leadership skills
- 87.5% of delegates fully achieved their aims
- 83% of delegates felt more confident in their roles
We are therefore very happy to be working with the Haven Way Enterprise Zone to ensure we are enhancing skills, driving productivity and turnover in businesses right across Wales.
ION leadership Programme Manager Suzanne Parry Jones is looking forward to the partnership:
“The 2 programmes we have ran on the Neath Port Talbot Enterprise Zone were hugely successful. The impact on both the delegates and their businesses was clear to see.
We therefore cannot wait to work with businesses on the Haven Waterway Enterprise Zone to not only help them grow their businesses but also develop themselves as leaders”.
ION Leadership is backed by £3.6m from the European Social Fund to raise the skills and drive productivity and turnover in small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as larger companies.
In the lead up to the programme, we will be joining colleagues from the enterprise zone at an event on Thursday January 23rd at the Bridge Innovation Centre. Members of the ION team will also be based at the Bridge Innovation Centre on Thursday 16th January. You can just pop in or if you want to book an appointment call the ION team on the number below.
Places on this exclusive, fully-funded programme will be limited so please call us directly on 01792 606738 to register your interest and find out more about eligibility.
