Join us for a 2-part virtual learning session, discussing Mental Toughness.

Led by ION Leadership Development Specialist, and AQR International Mental Toughness Licensed Practitioner, Andrew Veevers, this online webinar is for anyone who would like to find out more about mental toughness, and how to build it into their personal development plans. This session has previously helped senior leadership and management teams to prepare for future business challenges.

Pre-requisites:

None.  You need no prior knowledge or previous experience to attend this session.

What will you learn?

This is a 2-part session, with session 1 taking place on Wednesday 12th May and session 2 on Wednesday 19th May. Delegates will need to be free on both dates between 1.30pm-3 pm.

Session 1:

Session 1 will cover the origins of mental toughness, how it is measured, the 4C's and 8 factors of mental toughness, examples of each factor, and emotional intelligence vs mental toughness.

By the end of this session, you will be able to define what mental toughness is, highlight the mindset (s) and language and be able to reflect on personal strengths and areas of development against the 8 factors of mental toughness.

Session 2:

Building on what was covered in session 1, and on completion of a simple SWOT Analysis (homework after session 1!), session 2 will focus on 20+ exercises spread over the 6 interventions of mental toughness, to support the development of mental toughness and/or mental sensitivity.

By the end of this session, attendees will have a toolkit of exercises they can personally use for their own development, as well as share with friends, family, and colleagues. Mental toughness is not just a professional skill that can be understood and practiced in the workplace, it is also relevant to your personal life.

How will the session be delivered?

Both sessions will be delivered by Andrew Veevers, a licensed practitioner in mental toughness, via a facilitated discussion on Zoom. There will be a slide deck (will be shared post-session), and during this interactive session, Andrew will share real-life examples, known media footage, and personal shares as well as the opportunity for all attendees to share their insights and opinion. All attendees will receive Zoom links closer to the sessions. The session will be delivered in English.

What will attendees receive?

Delegates who attend this session will receive a certificate of attendance.
