Meet Andrew, the newest member of Team ION

Written by A.R.Fairbank@swansea.ac.uk / Tuesday 23rd February 2021

We are delighted to welcome Andrew Veevers to our Swansea team. Andrew has joined us as a Leadership Development Specialist.

Joining our delivery team, Andrew will be working alongside delegates on both our New Leaders and Leading Growth programme to discover, develop and evolve their leadership skills, transforming business owners, managers and entrepreneurs into extraordinary leaders.

Andrew_Veevers.pngAndrew has 20yrs + experience working in learning, talent, training, and development working with brands such as Selfridges, Scope, 2 Sisters Food Group, Williams Medical Supplies, BupaPCI Pharma and Dreams. These roles included everything from administrator to Director, an amazing journey that gives Andrew a great foundation for ION. We are also sure that all of our delegates will benefit hugely from Andrew's knowledge and experience.

So what particularly is Andrew looking forward to? "I'm honestly looking forward to all aspects, but the most anticipated part is always working with the delegates, that gives me a real energy".

But it's not just business owners and managers that Andrew has developed. In his spare time, he coaches his local Under 11's girl's football team - Baglan Yellows, at Baglan Boys and Girls Club. The club recently featured on the Russell Howard Good News TV show, for their donations and partnership with a local charity called The Boot Room, and the club was also on the Jennifer Saunders show Memory Lane recently, as Michael Sheen also used to play for the club as a young boy. Andrew's love of football has already passed onto his children, as he explains. " My two eldest daughters play for the team and it is great to see girls football thriving, and being able to give something back to the community".

"I'm really looking forward to my time with ION and thanks to everyone for a very friendly and positive welcome so far".

We're all looking forward to you being part of the team Andrew, as I am sure our delegates are. Welcome to ION.
