Friday Footnote # 78

Written by A.R.Fairbank@swansea.ac.uk / Friday 14th January 2022

Each week we share loads of content amongst Team ION and with our network. Content that inspires us, which we find helpful, or just makes us smile. We thought we would start sharing these insights every Friday. Welcome to Friday Footnote.

New additions to Team ION Picture_-_Nathan_Haymer_(002).jpg

We were delighted to welcome Nathan Haymer (pictured right) and Jane Baker to our Swansea delivery team this week.

Nathan has previously worked in learning and development for McDonalds, Virgin Atlantic and TUI Holidays, and has delivered training courses virtually and internationally in India, South Afirca and Egypt.

Jane is a leadership coach and career strategist with over 18 years experience at corporate level.

Keep an eye out on our social channels in the next week or so for more of an introduction to them both. Welcome to Team ION.

Exciting times ahead at A&R Services

We have always been really proud of the work we have done with A&R Services over the years. Founders Rayner and Ashley completed the programme in the LEAD Wales days, and since then Chloe, Dora and Farah have also completed our programme.

We were delighted to read this week that a management buy-out of A&R Services means that Ashley will be joined by Chloe and Dora as Executive Directors of the business, as the company continues to go from strength to strength.

Best of luck to everyone at A&R Services. You can read more about the management buy-out here

We caught up with Rayner, Ashley and Chloe at Chloe's ION graduation a few years ago. Check out our video on YouTube channel to see what they had to say.

New to leadership?

What better way to start 2022 than to sign up for our next ILM Level 3 New Leaders programme. Starting at the end of March, the programme is designed to develop and enhance the leadership and management skills of those in the early stages of developing their leadership skills. Delegates will be encouraged to understand their own approach to leadership, and then consider their team roles and tasks required to create a strong business framework for the growth and sustainability of their organisation. You can find out more about the programme, including those all important dates, here

And, we think it's important to note, that this will be our last fully funded programme. Therefore we expect places to go like hot cakes (it's a 3rd full already!) so if you, or anyone in your team is interested either apply today, or if you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch on ionleadership@swansea.ac.uk and Adam will be on hand to answer any questions you might have.
