Friday Footnote #52

Written by A.R.Fairbank@swansea.ac.uk / Friday 21st May 2021 / ION leadership news, / Blog posts

Each week we share loads of content amongst Team ION and with our network. Content that inspires us, which we find helpful or just makes us smile. We thought we would start sharing these insights every Friday. Welcome to Friday Footnote.

Mental Toughness virtual session

7.JPGThis week saw us run the second of our 2-part virtual learning session discussing Mental Toughness: Building Proactive Resilience. Following on from last weeks session, during this practical session Andrew from the team shared 20+ exercises, spread across the 6 interventions of mental toughness, to support the development of mental toughness and/or sensitivity.

A huge thank you everyone who joined us across the 2 sessions and contributed to some fantastic discussions on this hugely important subject.

Keep an eye out for future virtual learning sessions.

Making the best of who you are

Join our Bangor team next Thursday (at 11 am) for their upcoming virtual event - Personality in Work: Making the best of who you are!

Do you understand the people around you - employees, manager, team. Join the conversation next week to gain a deeper understanding of personality types. Email ionleadership@bangor.ac.uk to book your place.

Are you a new leader?

Breaking_News_2.pngThanks to the European Social Fund, we are currently able to offer our leadership programmes fully funded. We were delighted to be able to announce this week that the fully-funded programmes have been extended until March 2022. You can find details of these programmes on the courses page of our website.

Our next ILM Level 3 New Leaders programme starts in just 3 weeks time, but don't worry, there is still time to sign up. Check out the programme details, and don't hesitate to get in touch with our Swansea team if you have any questions.

We'll be taking a break from Friday Footnote for a few weeks as our Marketing Manager Adam, who pulls it together, is (hopefully) going to be enjoying a holiday with his family.
