Friday Footnote #44
Each week we share loads of content amongst Team ION and with our network. Content that inspires us, which we find helpful or just makes us smile. We thought we would start sharing these insights every Friday. Welcome to Friday Footnote.
The Disruptive Innovator
At yesterday's #IONOpenDoors we were joined by Bill McAllister-Lovatt to discuss agile and adaptive behaviours, and how to create workplace environments for creativity to flourish. As with every week, this led to some fantastic discussions around disrupting HR, conflict management, diverse teams, creative capacity, values synchronicity, authenticity in the workplace and flow states. All in an hour and a half! Thanks again Bill, and everyone who joined us. We love these sessions!
Our #IONOpenDoors session takes place every Thursday at 11am and are an opportunity to meet and chat with like-minded people about the current issues impacting business in Wales, share advice and contacts, find out more about ION Leadership and also have fun. It's good to talk! Fancy joining us?
Start spreading the news
The latest Bangor University Business School newsletter is out now, including a farewell blog from our departed Bangor Programme Manager Gwenllian, an article discussing how leaders can better connect in a virtual world, and a catch up with Jacqui Short from Outdoor Alternative, who has just started our Leading Growth programme. Check out the latest newsletter.
Also, keep an eye out in the coming weeks for the refreshed ION newsletter. Adam is busy pulling it all together - Stay tuned!
Inspiration
Below are just a few things that have inspired us this week:
- The CEO Imperative: How has adversity become a springboard for growth? (EY)
- How to be vulnerable at work without spilling everything (TED)
- Wolff meets Southgate (Channel 4)
- Why people lose motivation - and what Managers can do to help (Harvard Business Review)
- How to design a plan to return to the office that works for introverts (Fast Company)
Time is running out
Our programmes are currently fully funded. However, with the funding due to come to an end at the end of August 2021, spaces are becoming increasingly limited on our fully-funded leadership programmes. We have spaces available on a number of ILM Level 3 & 5 leadership programmes, so visit the course's section to make sure you don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity.
