The Leading Product & Service Design programme, which is supported by the European Social Fund, will strengthen the ability of businesses to enhance their products or services, retain customers and develop new products or services that deliver value for their customers. The programme will enable delegates to understand where value lies within their organisation and provide a framework for products and services to be reviewed to ensure they are adding maximum value to their customers.

Previous participants on the programme have included representatives from Google, Deloitte, IKEA and Skype, and the programme will now be delivered in Swansea over 3 days in September 2019.

In the year that ION leadership are celebrating 10 years of developing extraordinary leaders, Gary Walpole, ION leadership Programme Director, is delighted to be bringing this immersive experience to Wales.

“We are delighted to bring this highly acclaimed programme to Wales for the first time. Customers nowadays have much more choice for where they spend their money, so companies need to ensure that every element of their business adds value to their customer’s experience. This will not only mean that they retain the customers they have but also attract new customers. For businesses to be sustainable in the future this is essential”.

The programme will be delivered by Katja Wessling from KAOSPILOTS:

“The workshop will stretch the participant’s ability to design and deliver value for customers faster. It helps build deeper and more sustainable relationships between customers and your employees in order to build your brand. During the training we do a re-take on the design and delivery process based on experience and the latest research in order to create experiences that are truly meaningful. We’re looking forward to working with you!”

Participants on the programme will:

  •          Learn to understand and map out customer needs and desires for today and tomorrow
  •          Learn how to apply experience models to create innovation
  •          Learn and put into practice a simple and powerful iterative experience design methodology
  •          Learn how to design and stage powerful events that capture what’s most important for your company and your customers.

Applications for the programme are now open for individuals based in the convergence areas of West Wales and the Valleys. The programme is up to 70% funded by the European Social Fund.
