We are very happy to announce Suzanne Parry Jones as the new ION Project Lead.

Suzanne_Parry_Jones1.jpgSuzanne, who will complete the new role in addition to her current role as Swansea Programme Manager, will provide strategic leadership for the programme, driving the operational strategy and management of the project. Suzanne will also develop a sustainability strategy in partnership with colleagues in the Swansea University Research, Engagement & Innovation Services (REIS) team, as well as colleagues on the projects Steering Group, and in the Swansea and Bangor teams.

Suzanne has 25 years’ experience in a variety of business sectors including advertising sales, recruitment, and medical sales before qualifying as a coaching psychologist and launching her own business as a coach and leadership development specialist.

With a wealth of commercial acumen, Suzanne is passionate about people and enabling them to develop fulfilment in their working lives and strives to empower teams to work towards their goals.

Suzanne is looking forward to the new challenge.

"I am delighted to have been appointed Project Lead at ION as we move forward and towards even more exciting times ahead. We continue to put our delegates at the heart of what we do as a team, and the support of WEFO allows us to continue to deliver our programme on a fully-funded basis. We look forward to sharing with you our plans to support local businesses and empower Welsh leaders in the months and years ahead".

Ceri Jones, Director of REIS is delighted with Suzanne's appointment:

"I am delighted that Suzanne has taken on the role of ION Project Lead. During Suzanne's time as the Swansea Programme Manager, of which a significant period of this has been during the Covid-19 pandemic, the programme has not only continued to grow, but it is thriving, even with the imposition of unprecedented conditions. I have heard first-hand delegates share their stories about how the programme has affected them both professionally and personally. I wish Suzanne good luck in her new role and I have no doubt that the programme, our delegates and the ION team will continue to prosper under her leadership".

Congratulations Suzanne. Exciting times ahead.
